Shri Siddhar Muthuvaduganatha Swamigal as the Poorna Avatar of the Supreme Parasakthi Annai Varahi

As usual, that year also the Peetambar group of devils landed at Singampunari. The frightened villagers thronged to the Siddha & appealed for help. Hearing their wails, the Siddha walked in the direction of the place where these devils had camped. He addressed these devils who boasted that they had mastered the art of black magic. He challenged them to show their expertise in his presence. Or else, he would go ahead & show what feats he could perform.

He left the choice to them. The wicked men retorted. “Let us see you converting your loin cloth into a snake”. Immediately Siddhar Muthuvaduganatha Swamigal took off his loin-cloth, tore it into tiny bits, gathered these pieces in his hands, took his hands close to his mouth and praying to Mother Varahi  he uttered mantras & flung them over his head. That was it! Each of these bits was transformed into a black cobra. They chased these evil men away.

The fake mantra experts fled for life. As they ran in panic, some of them found their clothes dropping off their waist. Slippers worn by the onlookers slipped out on their own & slapped the fake magicians on their cheeks. The brooms from all the houses chased them & hit them on their mouths. Many of them lost their teeth. They were beaten black & blue & their bodies were swollen. The drums & other musical instruments they carried were bitten & destroyed by the street dogs.

The beaten devils were howling in pain rolling naked on the streets. Their wives could not bear to see this. Crying aloud, they fell at Siddhar Muthuvaduganatha Swamigal’s feet & begged forgiveness. They promised that they would never ever step into this village. They would not even lie down with their head facing the direction of this town. Hearing them wailing, the kind hearted Master was ready to forgive. From that day, the people of this town lived in peace. The problem caused by the Peethambar group was thus solved once and for all.
